Ariadna & Fernando – Youthful authenticity meets traditional tango

Ariadna and Fernandos tango sparkles with esprit, charme and playfulness. They beam with great musicality and delightful intimacy. They impress with freshness and authenticity of their youth and a technique that combines
tradition and creativity. They transmit all that when they teach. Despite their youth Ariadna and Fernando have a deep understanding of
traditional tango and they have been teaching tango for years in Buenos Aires and on festivals around the world.

Graciela Gonzalez – la leona del tango

began dancing in 1988. Her teachers, now legends of Argentine tango, were Pupi Castello (with whom she danced professionally for 19 years), Pepito Avellaneda, Antonio Todaro, Gustavo Naveira, Juan Bruno, Teté…and many others.

Graciela’s teaching techniques are and always have been innovative. In 1994, she became the first woman to give technique courses for followers in tango. Her courses were always fully booked, and almost all renowned professional dancers attended her “Women’s Technique Seminar.” In 1995, she began teaching technique seminars for leaders, in which leaders could experience and learn how to dance leading impulses clearly and comfortably.

Ariadna & Fernando & Graciela

have been friends for many years. And all three have long been deeply connected to el abrazo. So it was only natural to combine their experience, knowledge, and warmth in el abrazo for a joint seminar.

Programm

Seminar „Movements from yesterday and today from a single perspective“

In this seminar, we seek to understand the movements of the couple as a whole. From execution to interpretation, including structure, music, and expression.

Throughout the seminar, the three instructors will be your guide, with their clarity and their experience, on your way to achieve an organic dance with personality.

The seminar will be divided into three days, with a total of eight hours of study, structured as follows:

Part 1: Preparation and awareness of the body’s state.

How to create a body dialogue with the other person. Total and complete movement as a single dance movement.
Level: intermediate and above
Friday, Oct 24th, 18.30–20.30 h

Part 2: Change of dynamics in the turn.

How to accelerate and slow down. The change of direction, the transfer of weight and how to create the spaces without effort
Level: intermediate and above
Saturday, Oct 25th, 11.00–13.00 h AND 14.00–16.00 h

Part 3: The boleo.

Possible variations and expressions. The same movements throughout the history of the dance. Structure and execution.
Level: intermediate and above
Sunday, Oct 26th, 12.00–14.00 h
